Reaching out to Catholic/Christians Individuals/Families

How Beautiful Is the Passion of Christ – Lyrics

By Florence D’Costa – My dear brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ, my plea to you during this Lenten Season is to RETURN TO CHRIST.  Each and every one of us have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God.  No one can say,”I am without sin.”  Jesus Christ suffered so much humiliation, pain, torment and was betrayed by one of his own disciples. SIN IS UGLY and it is important for us to walk away from Sin and Ugliness.  Jesus Christ is Beautiful, for though He was man, He was also God.

During this Lenten Season, Christ Jesus is calling us to walk away from sin and to walk into His arms.  It is very important for each of us to examine our conscience every night and to Say A Sorry Prayer or an Act of Contrition before we go to bed.  Many of us also commit sins of Omission.  There are many things that God is calling us to do but we simply turn a blind eye to.

Christ Jesus is inviting us to approach the Sacrament of Reconciliation during this Lenten Season so that our minds, hearts and souls would be purified.  Prayer is having a Conversation or a meeting with Christ Jesus.  Why not make it a point to meet Him everyday for awhile? Let us try to MAKE A COMPLETE TURN AROUND AND WALK TOWARDS HIM. Let us look into His eyes and say, “I am sorry Jesus for hurting you and for sinning against you. Please do forgive me.”  If we do say this simple prayer, we will surely receive enough grace to approach the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  The Sacrament of Reconciliation is so very important, for the sins that we confess will surely be forgiven and a GREAT PEACE THAT SURPASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING WILL DESCEND INTO OUR HEARTS.

As I am a Catechist, many children have told me that they are afraid to go for confession because they feel that the priest will have a bad opinion of them when they confess their sins to him.  So, I told them to confess their sins to the priest whom they trust, not that any priest would regard you as bad or label you as a SINNER.  I also told them that in the Confessional, Jesus Christ and the priest awaits them and that it is JESUS CHRIST WHO FORGIVES SINS and the priest gives them absolution.

I ask the children as to how they feel if they commit sins and they said that they feel unhappy when they sin.  So I told them that it is important for them to approach the Sacrament of Reconciliation for Jesus Christ would forgive them their sins through the Priest and that once forgiven, they would be HAPPY ONCE AGAIN.

So, my dear brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ, what is stopping you FROM BEING FORGIVEN?  WHAT IS STOPPING YOU FROM OBTAINING HAPPINESS?

Even if you have not gone for Confession in years, say 10, 20, 30 or 40 years, the time has come for you to BE FORGIVEN AND TO EXPERIENCE THE CLOSENESS OF JESUS CHRIST.  Try approaching the Sacrament of Reconciliation and you will find that the burden that you have been carrying for a long time, will be taken away by Jesus Christ and He will place HIS PEACE IN YOUR HEART.

PLEASE DO GIVE IT A TRY.  GO FOR CONFESSION AND THEN RECEIVE THE BODY OF CHRIST WHEN YOU GO FOR MASS.  YOU WILL DEFINITELY BE ON TOP OF THE WORLD.

I do remember the words of this Song.  It is a Pop Song but we can sing this Song to Jesus Christ. The words are :

I am on the top of the World looking
Down on Creation
And the only explanation I can find
Is the Love that I found
Ever since you’ve been around
Your Love puts me
At the top of the World!

Well, Jesus Christ can put each one of us ON TOP OF THE WORLD and give us PEACE THAT SURPASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING.

LOVE = THE CROSS

We are in the Season of Lent – It is a time to contemplate LOVE ON THE CROSS.  Today, let us simply sit quietly and look at the Cross. What do we see?  We see Jesus Christ, the Son of God, God and Man, hanging from a tree, INNOCENT AND SINLESS.

We see :

  •          OBEDIENCE,
  •          LOVE,
  •          WILLINGNESS TO GIVE UP HIS LIFE FOR LOVE OF US.
  •           SUFFERING
  •           ONE WHO WAS CONDEMNED BY HIS OWN PEOPLE
  •           HE ONLY DID GOOD FOR HIS PEOPLE
  •           THE BLINDNESS OF THOSE WHO PERSECUTED HIM
  •           GREAT HUMILIATION. HE WAS LAUGHED AND SCORNED AT.
  •            FORGIVENESS –  “FORGIVE THEM FATHER FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO”
  •            THE PLAQUE AT THE TOP OF THE CROSS – “THE KING OF THE JEWS”
  •            HE IS MORE THAN A KING.  HE IS THE KING OF KINGS.
  •            HIS NAIL PIERCED HANDS AND FEET.
  •            WE SEE THE SON OF MAN’S LASHED AND WOUNDED BODY.
  •             LOVE FOR HIS MOTHER WHEN HE GAVE HIS MOTHER TO JOHN.

What is Jesus Christ saying to each one of us from the Cross :

  •              I LOVE YOU.  I WILLINGLY DIED FOR YOU.
  •              I WANT YOU TO LOVE ME IN RETURN AND TO LIVE FOREVER WITH ME IN PARADISE.
  •               IT IS NECESSARY FOR YOU TO CARRY YOUR CROSS EVERYDAY AND FOLLOW ME
  •               EVERY INDIVIDUAL DOES HAVE PROBLEMS AND DIFFICULTIES.
  •               I WILL GIVE YOU GRACE AND I WILL PROTECT YOU.
  •               I WILL CARRY YOU ON MY SHOULDERS WHEN YOU ARE UNABLE TO CARRY ON.                      YOU WILL THEN SEE ONLY ONE SET OF FOOT PRINTS ON THE SAND AND THOSE WOULD BE MINE.
  •                DO NOT BE AFRAID FOR I AM WITH YOU TILL THE END OF TIME.
  •                I HAVE WON THE BATTLE AGAINST EVIL AS I AM ALIVE – I AM THE RESURRECTED LORD.  I HAD TO DIE SO THAT I WOULD RISE VICTORIOUSLY.
  •                I AM A WINNER AND SO ARE YOU.  BUT YOU MUST BE READY TO ACCEPT SUFFERING IN THIS LIFE.
  •                I WILL GIVE YOU A CROWN IN THE NEXT LIFE AND FOR EVERY SUFFERING THERE I WILL PLACE A PRECIOUS STONE IN YOUR CROWN.
  •                IF YOU LOVE ME AND ARE HAPPY TO ACCEPT YOUR SUFFERING AND PAINS, THE JOYS THAT YOU WOULD EXPERIENCE WITH ME IN HEAVEN WILL BE INDESCRIBABLE.
  •                 FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE TEMPTED TO WALK THE BROAD ROAD OF SIN, I APPEAL TO YOU TO TURN AROUND AND COME BACK TO ME.  THE BROAD ROAD LEADS TO HELL AND DAMNATION.
  •                  SUFFERING CLEANSES, PURIFIES AND DRAWS YOU CLOSER AND CLOSER TO ME FOR I AM THE RESURRECTED  LORD.
  •                  AS YOU COME CLOSER AND CLOSER TO ME, YOU WILL EXPERIENCE  LOVE, JOY, PEACE, FORBEARANCE, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS, GENTLENESS AND SELF-CONTROL, PATIENCE, CHARITY, GENEROSITY AND CHASTITY.  I WILL CAUSE  ALL THE FRUITS OF MY HOLY SPIRIT WHICH YOU RECEIVED IN CONFIRMATION TO SURFACE AND BECOME VIBRANT IN YOU.
  •                  MY DEAR PEOPLE, I LOVE YOU.  COME BACK TO ME AND MY FATHER WILL PROTECT YOU UNDER HIS WING.

MY ARMS ARE OUTSTRETCHED WAITING FOR YOU TO COME BACK INTO MY EMBRACE.

MY EMBRACE IS HEAVEN.  MY EMBRACE IS GRACE.  MY EMBRACE IS A HAVEN.  IN MY EMBRACE YOU WILL BE SAFE ON THIS EARTH AND IN THE NEXT.

COME BACK MY PEOPLE – COME TASTE AND SEE!!!!!!

Who Am I? by Casting Crown

By Florence D’Costa

Are you feeling downcast, lonely, burdened, let down by your loved ones? Do you feel you are left out in the rain?  Do you feel the sins that you have committed are unforgiveable?  Have you reached out to alcohol and drugs to drown your sorrows? Has alcohol and drugs become your refuge?

I have news for you.  You are not alone.  You are loved by a Saviour.  He journeys with you and He holds you in His arms.  You are not holding Him.  He is holding you.  He is aware of what you are going through.  He is aware of your Past, Present and Future.  He loves you and His name is Jesus Christ.

There is no need to be afraid or ashamed.  Come back to Jesus Christ.  Turn your heart and your eyes towards Him and you will be free once again.

If you are Catholic, Christian or Atheist or of any other religion.  It does not matter.  You are human and you have been created by God.  Go to your nearest Church, talk to a friend, contact your community.  Talk to your family members and ask them to help you.  Seek help.

God is real.  Jesus Christ is real.  Give Him a try.

The Occult – Why do we leave THE LIGHT and walk into DARKNESS?

I would like to add here that anyone who dabbles with the Occult, gets training to become a witch, keeps crystals and other charms in their homes or wears them on their person believing that it will bring them good luck, bring them healing, good fortune etc. has decided to walk away from God and His Light and to walk into Darkness and the Evil Realm.

I give below a few scripture verses from the Old Testament regarding socery, witchcraft etc.

Deuteronomy 18:9-12 NIV. “When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. Let no one be found among you who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord.”

Ezekiel 13:18, 20 & 21 NIV. “This is what the Sovereign Lord says: ‘Woe to the women who sew magic charms on all their wrists and make veils of various lengths for their heads in order to ensnare people. Will you ensnare the lives of my people but preserve your own? I am against your magic charms with which you ensnare people like birds, and I will tear them from your arms; I will set free the people that you ensnare like birds. I will tear off your veils and save my people from your hands, and they will no longer fall prey to your power.’ ”

Psalm 103:2-4 NIV. “Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion.”

My advice to all is to follow Our Lord Jesus Christ, for He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

Exodus 23:25 And you shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless your bread, and your water; and I will take sickness away from the middle of you.
Psalms 103:3 Who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases;
Psalms 107:20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
Matthew 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
I would like to add here that God is all powerful for John 3:16 says:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.Job 12:10 In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.
Acts 17:28 For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’
Yes, we are the Children of God.  We belong to His Kingdom, so if we are children of the Most High God, we must believe that we will not be in want for anything.  Our God is our Fortress, Our rock, Our protection, so WHY DO WE TURN AWAY FROM THE LIGHT AND TURN TOWARDS DARKNESS AND THE OCCULT.

I found the following article very interesting which was posted by The hermeneutic of continuity :

A patron saint for rejecting the occult
Posted: 27 Jan 2015 01:51 PM PST

Sadly it is common in England today, to see advertisements for psychic fairs, shops selling occult paraphernalia, and booksellers displaying books of spells for young people. I recently called into a shop I thought might be interesting but walked out again smartly when I saw that there was a tarot card reading session taking place.Christians were blamed by superstitious Romans for natural misfortunes. Tertullian pokes fun at this. I quote him first in Latin, because lovers of his barrister’s tour de force style will enjoy it.

Si Tiberis ascendit in moenia, si Nilus non ascendit in arva, si caelum stetit, si terra movit, si fames, si lues, statim Christianos ad leonem! adclamatur. Tantos ad unum? (Liber Apologeticus 40.1)

The translation gets the meaning, but not the accelerating punch of the original:

If the Tiber rises too high for the walls, or the Nile too low for the fields, if the heavens do not open, or the earth does, if there is famine, if there is plague, instantly the howl is, “The Christians to the lion!” So many to one?
The venerable Tshimangadzo Samuel Benedict Daswa of South Africa experienced a similarly savage expression of superstitious ignorance. He was a convert to Catholicism, a married man with eight children, a Catholic school headmaster, and an upstanding and socially responsible member of the community conspicuous for his charitable work. You can read more about him at the Benedict Daswa website.

In 1990, after heavy rain and lightning in the Venda area, and while Benedict was away, a traditional healer was brought in to find out who was the witch that was responsible. On his return, Benedict refused to pay a share of the healer’s fee and insisted that lightning happened because of natural causes. For his stand against the occult, Benedict was ambushed on the road a couple of weeks later by a mob who stoned and beat him to death. Before his death, he said “God into your hands receive my spirit.”

Just the other day, Benedict was officially recognised as a martyr, so the way is open for his beatification.

Pray to him for all those involved in the occult, for young people tempted to dabble, for those who sell occult items or promote occult events. When you pass a shop selling crystals, tarot cards, witchcraft accessories and suchlike, quietly pray the prayer to St Michael and the prayer to your Guardian Angel. If you don’t know those prayers, it would be a very good idea to learn them. In the meantime, say three Hail Marys.

Prayer to St Michael
Holy Michael Archangel, defend us in the day of battle, be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray, and do thou, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all the wicked spirits, who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen.

Prayer to your Guardian Angel
O Angel of God, my guardian dear,
to whom God’s love commits me here,
ever this day, be at my side
to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen.

Lovers of Latin may like to know that the Guardian Angel prayer is translated from a Latin prayer that rhymes. Not classical of course, but easy to remember:

Angele Dei
qui custos es mei,
me tibi commissum pietate superna;
illumina, custodi, rege, et guberna. Amen.

Perseverance Builds Character

I would like you to read about “Perseverance Builds Character” by Steve Arterburn and down below are my comments.

Perseverance Builds Character

March 24, 2008 By
Steve Arterburn
For you need endurance, so that after you have done God’s will, you may receive what was promised. Hebrews 10:36 HCSB
As you continue to seek God’s purpose for your life, you will undoubtedly experience your fair share of disappointments, detours, false starts, and failures. When you do, you’re facing one of those inevitable tests of character. Don’t become discouraged: God’s not finished with you yet.
The old saying is as true today as it was when it was first spoken: ‘Life is a marathon, not a sprint.’ That’s why wise travelers (like you) select a traveling companion who never tires and never falters. That partner, of course, is your Heavenly Father.
The next time you find your courage tested to the limit, remember that God is as near as your next breath, and remember that He offers strength and comfort to His children. He is your shield and your strength; He is your protector and your deliverer. Call upon Him in your hour of need and then be comforted. Whatever your challenge, whatever your trouble, God can help you persevere. And that’s precisely what He’ll do if you ask Him.
Perhaps you are in a hurry for God to help you resolve your difficulties. Perhaps you’re anxious to earn the rewards that you feel you’ve already earned from life. Perhaps you’re drumming your fingers, impatiently waiting for God to act. If so, be forewarned: God operates on His own timetable, not yours. Sometimes, God may answer your prayers with silence, and when He does, you must patiently persevere. In times of trouble, you must remain steadfast and trust in the merciful goodness of your Heavenly Father. Whatever your problem, He can manage it. Your job is to keep persevering until He does.
Jesus taught that perseverance is the essential element in prayer. E. M. Bounds
Just remember, every flower that ever bloomed had to go through a whole lot of dirt to get there! Barbara Johnson
Perseverance is more than endurance. It is endurance combined with absolute assurance and certainty that what we are looking for is going to happen. Oswald Chambers Character builder
Are you being tested? Call upon God. God can give you the strength to persevere, and that’s exactly what you should ask Him to do.
————————
MY VIEWS ON SUFFERING WHICH LEADS TO CHARACTER BUILDING.
Suffering is part and parcel of this life.  We cannot escape suffering.  Suffering is necessary for mankind.  God allows suffering and through suffering He moulds human beings and shapes us into the kind of people that he wants us to be.
Different people suffer differently.
The suffering of the poor is different.  They lack food, clothing, clean drinking water etc and some children are deprived of education.  Those children who have lost their parents are deprived of all those things including Love.  Families that have been affected by Typhoons and Sunami have suffered tremendously and this is the time when the world comes in to play.  Social workers travel to these countries to be there in person to help those in affected areas.
Some families have lost a few of their loved ones.  Some have lost all their loved ones and are left alone in the world.  Ofcourse this is tremendous suffering.  Our minds are not able to imagine such suffering.  But life has got to go on and this is where God comes in.  God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten son to die for each one of us, so that we would have eternal life.  It is beyond my comprehension as to why God had to send His only Son to die for us. He could have found another way of saving us but the Mystery is that God chose to send His Son to die for us.
It is beyond my imagination.  God could have easily said, ‘Sorry, I cannot send my son to die for you and there is no other way, so all of you would have to perish’.  But He did not say so.  Imagine God’s Son dying on the cross, suffering so much humiliation, pain, torment and torture and the greatest suffering was that He allowed His Son, Jesus Christ who knew no sin to become SIN – to carry the sins of the world on His shoulders.  Then, furthermore, for a mother to stand by and see her son suffering and dying on the cross is simply horrific and unimaginable and that is what Mary did when she watched Jesus die on the cross.
Then again, in the bible we have the sufferings of Job.  He lost his entire family and fortunes and even his health.  Think of Abraham who willingly took his only son to be offered as a sacrifice. What suffering he would have gone through, mentally, and yet he was prepared to sacrifice his son because his love for God was tremendous.
Then, what about the suffering of the Israelites when they were slaves in Egypt.  Four hundred years of slavery is a very long time.  I guess we would find a lot of suffering in the bible.
There is a lot of sin in the world – Horrific sin.  If only we were aware of all the sin in the world,  we would go mad and die.  So, there is suffering and death in the world because of sin.  There are no definite answers for questions regarding suffering.  All we can do is to look at Jesus who is God and Man and who knew no sin and did no evil and yet He died a humiliating death on the Cross between two thieves.  There is no answer but to live life only for God.  We must teach all peoples including children, especially those who live in areas where there is a lot of suffering to FALL IN LOVE WITH JESUS CHRIST who is the AUTHOR OF SUFFERING AND YET HE WAS DIVINE.  We are only human and every human being suffers in various ways in this world.  Great sufferings come to the rich as well and all their money cannot alleviate their suffering.
It is important in this life to remember that the earth is our temporary home and that we are on a very dangerous and difficult journey and anything terrible can happen to us at any time.  We are all journeying to Our Goal, HEAVEN.  We came from heaven and we are journeying back to heaven.  So while we are on earth, there would be a lot of perils that we would face but WE MUST HAVE OUR EYES FIXED ON OUR GOAL : HEAVEN.  Each individual would come across different types of situations where they can come across a lot of suffering but the GREATEST SUFFERING THAT PEOPLE SHOULD AVOID IS THE DEATH OF ONE’S SOULJesus Christ in one of His parables mentioned that it is BETTER TO GO TO HEAVEN WITHOUT OUR LIMBS THAN FOR OUR WHOLE BODIES TO BE THROWN INTO HELL.  IT IS IMPORTANT TO REMIND OURSELVES THAT OUR BODIES DO NOT MATTER, IT IS OUR SOULS THAT MATTER.  SO WHEN WE GO THROUGH TERRIBLE SUFFERING, WE NEED TO CLING TO THE CROSS & PRAY FOR GRACE TO BE SAVED.
MY EXPERIENCE IS THAT THE WORLD IS A WONDERFUL PLACE TO LIVE IN.  WE DO NOT SUFFER ALL THE TIME. GOD HAS GIFTED US THIS WONDERFUL WORLD FOR US TO ENJOY AND BE HAPPY.  SO EVERY HUMAN BEING GOES THROUGH VARIOUS SITUATIONS AND EXPERIENCES IN THEIR LIFE.  WE ARE ALL CALLED TO THINK MORE ABOUT OUR SOULS THAN OUR BODIES.
WHEN WE HAVE A CLOSE RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST, WE DO EXPERIENCE DEEP DOWN IN OUR HEARTS A PEACE THAT SURPASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING.  HENCE IT IS IMPORTANT TO HAVE A CLOSE RELATIONSHIP WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT WHO WILL HELP US IN THIS LIFE.  IT IS ALSO IMPORTANT FOR THOSE PEOPLE WHO HAVE  PLENTY TO SHARE WITH THOSE WHO HAVE NOT.
Life is very complex but God is not a cruel God.  Man does not suffer 24 x 7.  He goes through various types of experiences in his life.  He smiles, laughs, experiences great joy, is exhuberant, enjoys a lot of excitement, cries, falls sick, has a mental break downs etc. etc. but man is not alone for Jesus Christ journeys with Man.
Problems and difficulties do not last forever in a man’s life. God is with us and the GREATEST JOY THAT MAN EXPERIENCES IS WHEN HE IS IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD.  We are runners in a race and we must be overcomers and keep on running till we reach our Goal : HEAVEN.

IT IS IMPORTANT FOR US TO BE REMINDED ABOUT THE WAY OUR ANCESTORS SUFFERED AND THOSE STORIES ARE IN THE BIBLE.  WE DO HAVE AWESOME STORIES IN THE OLD AND IN THE NEW TESTAMENTS.
WE NEED TO HELP CHILDREN WHO EXPERIENCE SUFFERING AT AN EARLY AGE TO UNDERSTAND THAT LIFE IS A JOURNEY AND THAT CHRIST WHO IS JOURNEYING WITH THEM WILL GRADUALLY  GIVE THEM THE ANSWERS THAT THEY ARE LOOKING FOR

AND THIS IS CALLED EXPERIENCE.
I have been thinking about the word EXPERIENCE. What is EXPERIENCE?  Experience is a situation in our lives that has a beginning and after a period of time, journeying in that situation, we learn to live and be OVERCOMERS.                                                                                                                                                                                                     We do need God’s Grace to be an OVERCOMER, so it is vital for us to pray for one another. 1Jn 5

Baptised? So, what is your role as a Catholic?

This question I guess will make each one of us think.  Why have I been created? What is my purpose on this earth?  What is my role in my family, church community, my work place, my neighborhood, state, country and the world at large?  Am I happy being a Catholic? As a Catholic, am I aware that it is important for me to share with the poor. Do I have a great desire to pray and to worship Our Lord Jesus Christ?

Am I ashamed of being Catholic, of making the Sign of the Cross in the presence of non believers. Do I make the Sign of the Cross Quite a few questions will run through our minds.

It is good to have some quiet time and to think.  We are very busy people and we are too busy to give ourselves some quiet time to think about Our Role as a Catholic.

My thoughts on this topic are :
Baptism makes us Children of God.  At baptism, we are born again.  When my mother gave birth to me, I was born in this world.  I left the comfort of my Mother’s womb.  This was my first birth. When I was born into this world, I grew up to know the things of this world.   At baptism I was BORN AGAIN – Born of the Spirit and through the Power of the Holy Spirit and the teachings of the Catholic Church, I began to know the things of Heaven.

Through the Power of the Holy Spirit, I began to believe that Jesus Christ is Lord.  None of us can say that Jesus Christ is Lord without the Holy Spirit.  Because we are born again, BORN OF THE SPIRIT, we begin to develop a CHARACTER, the character of Our Lord and Master, Jesus Christ.  We become people who are ready to forgive and forget.  We begin to develop a deep love for Jesus Christ and a desire to be like Him.

There is one thing that I would like you to remember. None of us are perfect.  There are times when we are challenged or our faith is challenged or when we face difficult times, then we might falter or we begin to question God.

Everyone’s faith journey is different but the devil will constantly try to take us away from Christ Jesus. Situations would arise in our lives when we would begin to question if God really loves us.  But we must remember that troubled times are when God is pruning us or shaping us into the kind of people that He wants us to be.  When we face problems in our marriage, at our work place or wherever, we must not run away from our problems. If you are not able to handle your problems yourself, then seek help.  Go to your nearest church and seek help.  There are priests and Laity who would help you.  No matter what be your problem or problems, NEVER GIVE UP, the people are God  will not abandon you.  ALWAYS SEEK HELP AND YOU WILL FIND HELP.  This is how we get a touch from the Lord and it is very real.  Through that touch, our eyes would be opened.  It is a moment or a period of Grace.

We then would develop a hunger and a thirst to be like Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God.  When we do develop this HUNGER AND A THIRST, we begin to seek knowledge.  We read the bible, go for Scripture classes or for Theology study.  We begin to attend retreats, go for Prayer Meetings, we go for Confession as often as possible and for Mass everyday, if possible or at least every Sunday.  We begin to know the Power of the Mass and then we have our eyes on our Goal – Heaven.  There are different phases in life.  We go through various situations that makes us more and more like Jesus Christ.  Once, we get a touch from the Lord or a Look from Him, WE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN.

This is when we become EVANGELISERS because we do EXPERIENCE THE JOY OF THE GOSPEL,  we find this tremendous LOVE, JOY AND PEACE in our hearts which surpasses all understanding.  All we want to do is to CONVEY THE JOY OF THE GOSPEL to all those whom we meet or convey the Joyous message through the Media or even if possible to STAND ON THE ROOF TOP AND PROCLAIM THE GOOD NEWS.  ONCE WE BECOME EVANGELISERS WITH THIS GREAT DESIRE TO SPREAD THE JOY OF THE GOSPEL THAT WE ARE EXPERIENCING, IT IS VERY HARD TO WALK AWAY FROM CHRIST.  So, wherever we go and wherever we are, we as CHILDREN OF GOD can only SPEAK OF JESUS CHRIST AND OF HIS GREAT LOVE FOR US AND EACH AND EVERY PERSON.

Every time, we see people suffering and having problems, we automatically respond to them and try to assist them or we try to lend a helping hand.  Our Pope Francis is now encouraging us to reach out to the poor and to help them in whatever way we could.

It is important to remember that every morning as soon as we open our eyes, we must begin to pray and thank God for the Gift of a New Day.  A day that would bring us new opportunities to be Another Christ to members of our family, our work place, church community, neighourhood, State, Country and the World at large.

If you want to grow closer to God and to know more about Him,  you can go to the nearest Catholic Church – Go to the office or when you go for Mass, ask those whom you feel can help you to become A TRUE CHILD OF GOD.  THIS WOULD BE A BEGINNING AND THEN THERE IS A LONG ROAD TO KNOWLEDGE AND WISDOM THAT WE NEED TO SEEK TO BECOME EFFECTIVE EVANGELISERS AND TRUE CHILDREN OF GOD.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO COMMUNICATE WITH OUR HEAVENLY FATHER THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD AND MASTER 24 x 7.  I WILL EXPLAIN IN MY NEXT POST HOW TO PRAY 24 x 7.

MAY OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST BLESS ALL MY READERS.
