Reaching out to Catholic/Christians Individuals/Families

Our Mission today – Make others happy!

I went for Mass this morning and the homily that Fr Martin did give was very interesting.  He touched on the subject about concentrating on making others happy.  He said, let us not worry too much about making ourselves happy.

So I decided to share this video.  I would like to add here that it is important for us always to have a smile that we could share for it does not cost us to SMILE at others.  To give someone a smile, give them a kind and encouraging word, an embrace if they need one would definitely not cost us anything.  It is FREE TO GIVE and if we could make others happy – Why not!  My experience is that when I make others happy, then it surely proves that I am happy and then because I am happy, I could share that happiness with others.  We should be there for others and it is important for us to let them know that we will always be there for them.

Another important point – if we are there for others, then you can be sure that they will be there for you and even if they are not or unable to be there for us, it still does not matter.  What matters is THAT WE ARE THERE FOR OTHERS and that their happiness  MATTERS TO US.

So, let this MISSION be ours today – TO MAKE ANOTHER HUMAN BEING HAPPY.  Wow! this makes me happy.  When we decide to make others happy, we can be sure that we will not work at MAKING OTHER UNHAPPY!

So, let us go forth and produce HAPPINESS! Wow! Such happiness!

The importance to become like Little Children

Daily Readings -29 November, 2016 – Reading 1, Isaiah 11:1-10;   Responsorial Psalm, Psalms 72:1, 7-8, 12-13, 17

Gospel, Luke 10:21-24
21 Just at this time, filled with joy by the Holy Spirit, he said, ‘I bless you, Father, Lord of heaven and of earth, for hiding these things from the learned and the clever and revealing them to little children. Yes, Father, for that is what it has pleased you to do. 22 Everything has been entrusted to me by my Father; and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.’ 23 Then turning to his disciples he spoke to them by themselves, ‘Blessed are the eyes that see what you see, 24 for I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see what you see, and never saw it; to hear what you hear, and never heard it.’

My explanation:
What is God telling us in this gospel passage.  He is saying that he reveals himself to us his children.  When we were baptised, we became his children and that through baptism, he is revealing to us the secrets of His Kingdom.  The more intimate we become with him. the more he will reveal to us.  The question now is, why is he revealing himself to us.  He is doing so because he wants us to love him more and more and then for us to go and share him with others.  We need Jesus Christ to be saved and others also need him, to be saved.  So, while we are on a journey with Christ, it is important to share him with others. He is calling us to remain like little children – He wants us to be simple, humble, kind, loving, sharing, giving.  The day we become proud, we will stop hearing him speak to us because Pride is a Block. When we are like little children, we are closest to His Heart.  So let us throw pride out the window and embrace Humility and become like little children.

LOVE = THE CROSS

We are in the Season of Lent – It is a time to contemplate LOVE ON THE CROSS.  Today, let us simply sit quietly and look at the Cross. What do we see?  We see Jesus Christ, the Son of God, God and Man, hanging from a tree, INNOCENT AND SINLESS.

We see :

  •          OBEDIENCE,
  •          LOVE,
  •          WILLINGNESS TO GIVE UP HIS LIFE FOR LOVE OF US.
  •           SUFFERING
  •           ONE WHO WAS CONDEMNED BY HIS OWN PEOPLE
  •           HE ONLY DID GOOD FOR HIS PEOPLE
  •           THE BLINDNESS OF THOSE WHO PERSECUTED HIM
  •           GREAT HUMILIATION. HE WAS LAUGHED AND SCORNED AT.
  •            FORGIVENESS –  “FORGIVE THEM FATHER FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO”
  •            THE PLAQUE AT THE TOP OF THE CROSS – “THE KING OF THE JEWS”
  •            HE IS MORE THAN A KING.  HE IS THE KING OF KINGS.
  •            HIS NAIL PIERCED HANDS AND FEET.
  •            WE SEE THE SON OF MAN’S LASHED AND WOUNDED BODY.
  •             LOVE FOR HIS MOTHER WHEN HE GAVE HIS MOTHER TO JOHN.

What is Jesus Christ saying to each one of us from the Cross :

  •              I LOVE YOU.  I WILLINGLY DIED FOR YOU.
  •              I WANT YOU TO LOVE ME IN RETURN AND TO LIVE FOREVER WITH ME IN PARADISE.
  •               IT IS NECESSARY FOR YOU TO CARRY YOUR CROSS EVERYDAY AND FOLLOW ME
  •               EVERY INDIVIDUAL DOES HAVE PROBLEMS AND DIFFICULTIES.
  •               I WILL GIVE YOU GRACE AND I WILL PROTECT YOU.
  •               I WILL CARRY YOU ON MY SHOULDERS WHEN YOU ARE UNABLE TO CARRY ON.                      YOU WILL THEN SEE ONLY ONE SET OF FOOT PRINTS ON THE SAND AND THOSE WOULD BE MINE.
  •                DO NOT BE AFRAID FOR I AM WITH YOU TILL THE END OF TIME.
  •                I HAVE WON THE BATTLE AGAINST EVIL AS I AM ALIVE – I AM THE RESURRECTED LORD.  I HAD TO DIE SO THAT I WOULD RISE VICTORIOUSLY.
  •                I AM A WINNER AND SO ARE YOU.  BUT YOU MUST BE READY TO ACCEPT SUFFERING IN THIS LIFE.
  •                I WILL GIVE YOU A CROWN IN THE NEXT LIFE AND FOR EVERY SUFFERING THERE I WILL PLACE A PRECIOUS STONE IN YOUR CROWN.
  •                IF YOU LOVE ME AND ARE HAPPY TO ACCEPT YOUR SUFFERING AND PAINS, THE JOYS THAT YOU WOULD EXPERIENCE WITH ME IN HEAVEN WILL BE INDESCRIBABLE.
  •                 FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE TEMPTED TO WALK THE BROAD ROAD OF SIN, I APPEAL TO YOU TO TURN AROUND AND COME BACK TO ME.  THE BROAD ROAD LEADS TO HELL AND DAMNATION.
  •                  SUFFERING CLEANSES, PURIFIES AND DRAWS YOU CLOSER AND CLOSER TO ME FOR I AM THE RESURRECTED  LORD.
  •                  AS YOU COME CLOSER AND CLOSER TO ME, YOU WILL EXPERIENCE  LOVE, JOY, PEACE, FORBEARANCE, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS, GENTLENESS AND SELF-CONTROL, PATIENCE, CHARITY, GENEROSITY AND CHASTITY.  I WILL CAUSE  ALL THE FRUITS OF MY HOLY SPIRIT WHICH YOU RECEIVED IN CONFIRMATION TO SURFACE AND BECOME VIBRANT IN YOU.
  •                  MY DEAR PEOPLE, I LOVE YOU.  COME BACK TO ME AND MY FATHER WILL PROTECT YOU UNDER HIS WING.

MY ARMS ARE OUTSTRETCHED WAITING FOR YOU TO COME BACK INTO MY EMBRACE.

MY EMBRACE IS HEAVEN.  MY EMBRACE IS GRACE.  MY EMBRACE IS A HAVEN.  IN MY EMBRACE YOU WILL BE SAFE ON THIS EARTH AND IN THE NEXT.

COME BACK MY PEOPLE – COME TASTE AND SEE!!!!!!

Father’s Love – Lyrics by Gary Valenciana

By Florence D’Costa

Fathers, how present are you for your children?  Your children are gifts from God.  I remember my son was very attached to his father.  His father, my husband worked long hours as he worked for an airline.  But when he came home, he was very present for his children.  Every Saturday he would go to the office to work though Saturday was his off day but sometimes he would take his children with him to his office and they enjoyed every moment of it.

I remember my son, when he came home after school, would dress up like his father.  He would put on his suit, wear a tie and he would also wear a name badge and he would play act as if he was working as a manager at the airport.  I also remember that my husband’s colleagues in the office and at the airport would chat him up and he would feel very confident of himself and proud that he had a father who worked for an airline.

Fathers, your children need you.  Love them and make them feel important.  If you love them when they are young, they will love you when you are old and will be there for you.

My husband loved our daughter very much.  When she was little, he would quite often bring home snacks and gifts for her which made her very happy.  We would then teach her to share with the others.  Now she is a child who loves to share with us and with others.  She loves giving gifts.

Our children are very loving children.  Why? because we loved them from the very beginning.  So, Fathers, when you make yourself available to your children, you build their confidence.  They feel loved and wanted and when they grow older, they will continue to love you and it would also be easy for them to love God Our Father and it would be easy for them to love others and accept them for who they are.

Fathers, play sport with your children.  Get involved with their interests.  Encourage them and help build their talents.  Take them to church.  Pray with them.  Read the Scriptures with them and have discussions based on your readings.  Laugh with them and when they cry, make them laugh.  Build their confidence so that when they come across challenges in their life, they will be able to cope.

My daughter and son are very attached to their father.  My husband till today is very dedicated to his children and he is always there for them when they need him and they are there for him.

Pope Francis has a few things to say Fathers :

Pope: Don’t be an absent father. Your family is counting on you

2015-01-28
The Pope’s weekly catechesis was all about the family, so it was quite fitting that he played a bit with this baby, before starting the audience. He talked about the family unit and the need to raise kids right.
POPE FRANCIS
“In the past, kids were raised under an authoritative rule. In some cases this was very overwhelming. But now, what we see in households is the other extreme.”
He also talked about another serious problem, which is absent fathers. From fathers who are simply not in the picture, to those who spend all their time and energy on work.
POPE FRANCIS
“So young people end up without a path, virtual orphans without someone to trust in. They become orphans of ideals that awaken the heart. Instead, they turn to false idols that steal their hearts.”
There are strong families out there, but these challenges, he explained, cannot be ignored. He also gave some insight into what he will focus on next week.
POPE FRANCIS
“Some of you may say, ‘But Father, you’ve been too harsh and negative. You only focused on absent fathers and the consequences this brings.’ Yes it’s true. I want to underline this point today, because next Wednesday during my catechesis, I will focus on the beauty of fatherhood. That’s why I wanted to start off with this dark chapter, so I can then focus on the light. May God help us understand these situations. Thank you.”
This colorful group, put the finishing touches on the audience. The thousands of people in the audience seemed to enjoy it and so did the Pope.

EVERYDAY WE ARE LEARNING THE LESSONS OF LIFE

If Our God IS for us, then who can be against us?  Do we realise that Our God is Our Everlasting God.  Man will come and go but God is FOREVER.  He is the Alfa and the Omega – The Beginning and the End.  Those who wait on the Lord, will be renewed in their spirit and we will never be the same.  Our God is the Greatest. We must believe in Him and in Him alone.

Yes, we wait upon the Lord,  for He reigns forever. He is the Everlasting God and He is Faithful.  He is Our Lifter and our Provider. What is it that you need today.  Ask and you will receive.  Ask with faith and it will be given to you – Never doubt, for God wants us to be happy and He wants to meet our needs every day and every moment of our lives.  With Christ Jesus we cannot fail, except if we quit. We must always believe that we are moving forward.  We should not be quitters but we should be learners because it is going to be alright for the Everlasting God is with us.  When problems comes our way, we become despondent and we forget the God who created this whole universe.  Our God is our creator.  How amazing is our God.  Everyday, we are learning the lessons of life. Everyday is a living experience. We do have good times and bad times but we must remember that God is for us and He is constantly blessing us. So, we should begin to COUNT OUR BLESSINGS.

What we have today is exactly what God wants us to have.  Our family, our friends,a job – even it is a small one, a roof over our heads, our meals and clothes that we wear.  We should take what we have  and make the most out of it.    We must believe that God has equipped us to live today. Today is what I have and I must live today to the fullest.  We are called to live every moment doing what God wants me to do and to be happy in His love , trusting in Him alone.  I must believe that Our God is on the Throne and whatever He has given me today, is all that I need for today.  When the moment comes, God will give me much more.

We must remember that we are Precious in God’s eyes.   Let us go deep into the words, PRECIOUS.  Precious means something of great price and high value.  How many of us really and truly believe that we are something of GREAT PRICE AND HIGH VALUE.  God is calling each one of us to believe in Him and in ourselves.  David had a sling and a few small stones and with this he conquered Goliath.  He did not wear any armour.  If did, he might have lost the battle because it would have weighed him down.  So what he had was the best to fight Goliath.  So we must put on our armour of faith, love and especially trust in God.  With this, God will take us places that we never dreamed of.

God gave us Jesus Christ and He dwells in our hearts.  With Him, we are achievers and believe me, what you and I have today, is what God wants us to have.  Tomorrow is another day and if we are lacking tomorrow, God will come and breathe on the little that we have and make it PLENTY FOR US.  If we use what God has given us, He will multiply what we have and bless what we have.  With God, we will never be in want.  If we do not have today, tomorrow God will give us more and we will be in a position to help others. We must believe that we are UNIQUE and SPECIAL –  There is no one on this whole wide earth who can ever be like me, like you. So, I must be me and you must be you.  We must do what God wants us to do.  What he has given us today is what we need for today. Remember, tomorrow is another day.  God has given us what we need to do today according to His Holy Will and we must rejoice that we have today.  This morning we woke up while many did not.  What we have today is LIFE, so let us live it doing what God wants me to do today.

I would like to remind you that you and I are God’s MASTER PIECE – So let us go about today knowing that ‘I AM GOD’S MASTER PIECE’ and there is no one else like me.  I am Unique and Special and remember that we are the children of God and that we lack nothing.   Let us live today knowing that we are PRICELESS.  Wow! this is so comforting.

LET US REJOICE AND BE GRATEFUL FOR WHAT GOD HAS GIVEN US.  ALLELUIA.

Are you Sad Today?

I listened to Our Lord Jesus Christ this morning and He inspired me to write.  Are you Sad today?  What has happened to make you sad and depressed.  I know that feeling.  It is terrible.  My advice to you this morning is to immediately stop doing what you are doing.  Close your eyes, quieten yourself.  Let all the background sounds fade away.  Be still and listen to your heart beating.  Forget yourself and forget what is troubling you.  Just see Our Lord Jesus Christ standing before you.  He is dressed in dazzling white clothes.  His shoulder length auburn hair is blowing in the wind.  He is looking down at you for He can see you either sitting or kneeling before Him.  You are having your gaze on Him and He is smiling at you.  He now picks you up in His arms and He is holding you to Himself.  He says, TRUST ME and give me all your burdens and troubles and I will give you rest.  Jesus Christ said in Mt 11: 28-29  “28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”
He is now holding you close in His loving arms.  He is your healer, your comforter and your Saviour.  Rest in His arms for a while and received His Peace which surpasses all understanding.  When you do feel rested enough and peaceful, give Him that which is troubling and bothering you and trust that He will take care of you.

Now, that you have given Him that which is troubling you,  my sincere advice is to forget your problem and begin living from today, this minute as if you have no problem because you really do not as you have given your problem to Jesus Christ.  Look into His eyes and thank Him for His blessings.  Now, you can open your eyes and continue with your work.

My sincere advice to you is whenever you feel troubled or bothered, you can go into the presence of Jesus Christ and give him your problems and be sure that He will handle the situation better than you and He will take care of you and your problems.

Be that One…..

My dear readers, for me personally the words
are very inspiring and very comforting.  Many
of us take things for granted and we keep wining
about the things we do not have.

Today, let us make an effort to appreciate all
that we have and all that we have been created
to be and let us make a difference in this
Wonderful World today.

Be that ONE ~
