Reaching out to Catholic/Christians Individuals/Families

All Saints Day – November 01, 2011

The Catholic Church celebrates All Saints Day on 1st of November every year. Just as we in Australia celebrate Mothers Day, Fathers Day etc., the Catholic Church celebrates All Saints Day on 1st of November. This is a Day kept aside to honour the Saints who have lived on this earth and who have attained Heavenly glory after passing through Purgatory for purification.

These Saints have lived their life to glorify God and on this day the Catholic Church honours these Saints. It is also a reminder to us that we could strive to live a holy life on this earth doing God’s Holy Will and hence strive towards being a saint. This day also reminds us that if we are in need of prayers especially when we are going through difficult times, we could request these saints to pray for us and to intercede to God on our behalf. So when we pray and intercede to God, we will have the saints also interceding on our behalf.

On All Saints Day, I recommend the faithful to attend Mass and to receive Holy Communion and during the day to try to live a life according to the Will of Our Heavenly Father. In this way, we are honouring the Saints who have conquered and have gone to Heaven and also we are trying to imitate them by trying to live a holy life during this day.

During this day, we need to constantly take our minds to these Victorious Saints who have lived and conquered through the Blood of the Lamb. So, I would like to end on this note :

“CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU DEAR SAINTS – PRAY TO JESUS CHRIST ON OUR BEHALF EVERY DAY OF OUR LIVES SO THAT WE WOULD HAVE THE GRACE TO LIVE A HOLY LIFE AND BE ABLE TO CONQUER EVIL.”
